Digital and procurement thought leader Dr. Marcell Vollmer is a new shareholder at Crowdfox, the Cologne-based eProcurement specialist. Vollmer, previously Chief Digital Officer (CDO) of SAP’s Cloud Business Group and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group, will also support Crowdfox as a Senior Advisor.
“We have been actively working with Marcell on the development of our software and marketing since mid-2023,” says Dirk Schäfer, Managing Director of Crowdfox. “We have gotten to know and appreciate each other intensively. I am therefore all the more pleased that Marcell Vollmer has decided to further expand his relationship with Crowdfox as a major new investor.”
Marcell Vollmer, who holds a doctorate in business administration, knows both international corporations, one of the main target groups of Crowdfox’s software, and the service provider side from decades of experience. He worked at DHL Express and SAP for almost 30 years, always at the interface between digitalization and purchasing as well as supply chain management. He was Managing Director of the Prospitalia Group, Chief Innovation Officer at Celonis and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group.
